Quick Valve for filling and draining

The Quick Valve is the answer to many growers' wish for reducing the drainage time and so improving the control of plant and root growth.

The Quick Valve is equipped with a separate drainage device, functioning as a siphon. Consequently, the drainage time is reduced with up to 80% compared to traditional ebb/flow systems. This valve has a very high reliability without moveable parts.
During the filling process the Quick Valve oxidizes the nutrient solution with air being sucked in, due to underpressure.

The draining capacity of each Quick Valve is about 7.4 gallons per minute (28 litres per minute), untill the siphon stop -i.e. when the table is nearly emptied for nutrient solution. The rest will run off the table without using the siphon impact.

Glue

We have developed a special glue for extending the Danish HydroTrays and to make sure they are water tight.

The glue is delivered in the following sizes:
  • 2,5 - 5 - 10 - 20 litre buckets
  • 300 ml tubes
DO NOT use an excessive amount of glue. This can damage the trays. For further information about the use of this special glue please read the instruction carefully before use. The plastic filter can be bought together with the Danish Hydro Trays. It prevents blockage of valves caused by dirt or roots.

Plastic filter

The plastic filter can be bought together with the Danish Hydro Trays. It prevents blockage of valves caused by dirt or roots.

The filter is designed so that the top rim is levelled with the bench tray top. This way pots can be placed directly on top of the filter so the whole area of the tray can be utilized.

Rubber stopper

When drilled holes for valves are not used anymore, just use one of the rubber stoppers to close the hole.

Sump cover

If the sump is not used, a sump cover can be glued over the sump. The sump cover is designed so that the top rim is levelled with the bench tray top. This way pots can be placed over the whole area of the tray.
